Bugs The Bigfoot killer Exposed

by Dean Terry
Did a group of hunters really kill two Bigfoot and bury them in Texas in 1979?

Remember the story of “Bugs,” the guy who called the Coast To Coast AM radio show, talked to Art Bell and Robert Morgan, and claimed that he killed two Bigfoot and buried them?

Except, they might have been people, so he kept it all hush-hush. So now there could possibly be two dead Bigfoot, or people, buried in a creek bed near Ed’s home in North Texas.

Well, it turns out “Bugs” just might be a bit of a fraud.

If you don’t remember the story, the entire interview is posted elsewhere on Our Strange World. The story is also mentioned in Art Bell’s profile on Wikipedia:

“Bugs” - Aging farmer who has repeatedly told of his account of shooting and burying two Bigfoot creatures back in the 1970s in the Texas Panhandle, initially thinking they were bears. Bugs has mailed a map of the location of this “burial” to Art Bell, to be released to the public upon Bugs’ death.

During his first appearance in 1996, Bugs said he had taken a dozen Polaroid photos of the creatures he would be willing to send to Art. None of the alleged photos have yet been made available.

Thanks to the web site The Regulator, the man who called himself “Bugs” has been identified as Ed Hale of Wellington, Texas, the owner of a tacky website called Plains Radio.

Here’s the account of how The Regulator uncovered “Bugs” identity:

An astute Freeper posted a link to a very interesting YouTube video and wondered if the man called ‘Bugs’ that was being interviewed in the clip could possibly be the one and only Ed Hale.

Before I had even listened to the clip, the name ‘Bugs’ definitely sounded familiar. You see, Ed’s photobucket account name is ‘bugshale’ and a little more googling finds some comments about Hillary Clinton and oddly, an ad where Ed is selling some western wear.

After listening to about five minutes of the YouTube, I was convinced and shared with ZeN, and our two Ed Hale specialists neonzx and GreatGrey. They all agreed that it is definitely Ed.

And Ed Hale has ”confessed” on his radio program, saying that he was indeed the Art Bell call-in person who used the name “Bugs.”

But he said the killing story is “true.”

And what about the evidence? Strange thing about that. Hale says that federal agents showed up at his house and made him dig up the bodies, which by then were nothing but bones. The remains were then confiscated and are now in the possession of “the government.”

Hale says he shot two Bigfoot. Hale says the government took them away, thus depriving him of any real proof of his claims. How convenient.

After listening to the original broadcast, I had my doubts as to “Bugs” honesty. The story had too many flaws to be true.

If he and his two buddies had a couple of dead Bigfoot in their possession, potentially worth tens of millions of dollars, why would they bury them? Wouldn’t at least one out of the three people be needy or greedy enough to profit from this mis-adventure?

Never underestimate the power of greed my friend.

And, if as “Bugs” stated, he and his fellow hunters relied on hunting animals and selling the pelts for income, wouldn’t they have at least skinned the Bigfoot and taken their pelts before burying them?

The story goes that after they shot the Bigfoot, had a chance to look at them close up, and became scared they might be human, so they buried them.

Hmmm. So, “Bugs” and his fellow hunters, with their supposed years of battle and hunting experience, couldn’t tell the difference between a wild seven-foot tall, bad smelling hairy creature and a human being.

These guys were either morons, or didn’t want to attract attention to the crop of marijuana they were growing nearby. Most likely, they were morons smoking marijuana.

If you do an Internet search on Ed Hale, you’ll see him most-often described as a “racist freakazoid.” Among other things, on his radio show, he called Michelle Obama a “gorilla,” and delivered a furious n-word rant against Barack Obama.

And it seems that Ed Hale’s current efforts are directed at uncovering documentary evidence that President-Elect Barack Obama is not a natural born citizen, and therefore is ineligible for office.

Yeah, good luck with that one, Mr. Hale.

Do a little more checking and you’ll understand that Ed Hale is a person who uses racist statements and controversial claims to placate a narcissistic personality disorder.

Ed Hale’s “Bugs” story has now been tainted with all the bad qualities of the Georgia Goof-Balls Bigfoot story. The kind of stuff that does damage to reputable crypto researchers.

Still, I am sad to find out that the “Bugs” story was just a fabrication from a sick and twisted mind.

Well to be honest it seems your facts are kinda wavy at best, like saying “He” (meaning bugs) was made to dig up the bones, that was never said, you also state you hardly remember what was said in the conversation on coast to coast am, its clearly easy to find on the web, then you go off ranting how he has to be a moron and smokes pot, you know what? your just a basher, lets say some of the stuff you said was true, your more so a basher and a hater then anything, im sick of seeing this stuff on the net in chat formats, what kinda loser takes time to be a professional loser?

You need a attitude adjustment upside your head boy!

Bugs is lying, he said when the agents took him to the burial site the agents had art bell’s map.  Their possession of the map would not have been revealed to Bugs, standard procedure to keep evidence from the witness.

A way to disprove this story is go back to the site and see if its tore up by a backhoe.

If Bugs really had a bigfoot he would of sold the carcass or the bones.
