The Reality Of Scary Creatures
Your world could be changed by a truth-shattering reality.
Rockport, Texas - In the realm of mortals, we tend to go about our lives with the thought that only the observable and scientifically provable are considered to be true.
But the reality is, we live in a world where scary creatures lurk, ghosts can cause mayhem, and humans are at the mercy of unfathomable paranormal events. Ghost stories and urban legends about scary creatures have been with us from the dawn of time.
But most humans are skeptics, associating belief or integrity to these stories goes against our “to see is to believe” philosophy
Can we really afford to dismiss scary creatures, undead entities, restless spirits taking revenge for their untimely deaths, ghastly apparitions haunted by past mis-deeds, as products of over-active imaginations, existing only in the murky shadows of urban legends?
Ghosts are said to be restless spirits of dead people that usually haunt the place where they once lived. As depicted in films and books, these scary creatures haunt the living to search for justice and closure for their tragic deaths.
However, not all ghosts are depicted as such. In some cases, ghosts sometime just hang around us, without any malicious intent. Perhaps they are stuck in between heaven and hell because their spirits can’t rest in peace until they finish their purpose in this realm.
Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, Kentucky is said to be haunted by the scary creatures we call ghosts.
Once a two-story hospital accommodating tuberculosis patients, this place was allegedly the dying place of more than 8000 TB patients from 1911 to 1945. The worst cases of these deaths occurred during the outbreak of the disease in World War II.
Documentaries and paranormal investigations claim that small, child-like forms have been caught on camera. Scary wails and screams are said to be heard on empty rooftops and patios of the building. Reports tell of moving shadows walking the corridors and seen in places where dying patients were confined.
There are plans to transform the old sanatorium it into a hotel, to target the haunted hotel crowd. Will this be agreeable to the unfortunate entities who may still consider it their home?
Villisca in Iowa, considered as one of the scariest places on earth, is also said to be haunted by the ghosts of the brutally murdered members of the Moore family.
The murder itself was arguably one of the most infamous unsolved murder cases in American history. June 10, 1912 was the last day the six members of the Moore family, and their two young guests, were seen alive. They were found inside the house, dismembered by an assailant who viciously killed them with an axe.
The heinous crime is still a mystery, and the killer remains unknown to this day.
The Moore house is said to be haunted by the spirits of its former inhabitants. Curious visitors claim to have heard voices of children inside the Villisca House, voices of children who didn’t exist.
The scary creatures of the Murder House have reportedly hindered efforts to renovate the structure. Could it be the weather-beaten old house, the only witness to the nightmare that took place inside, wants the residence left un-touched - in consideration of the unseen family who still resides there?
Whether ghosts, or other scary creatures, are figments of our over-stimulated imaginations - or a validation that the paranormal exists, is still under study, scrutiny and discussion.
Until we accept the existence of something beyond the observable and scientifically provable, stories of forsaken and scary creatures will continue to be mysterious anomalies, to be filed [or mis-filed?] under tall tales and urban legends. - Dean Terry
