The View From Inside The Circle

The next couple of years will be exciting.

image Holiday Beach, Texas - If you’ve been a reader of Our Strange World for awhile, then you know of my interest in time travel research.

Time travel is not just a possibility - it’s reality. I stay in regular touch with several people who have developed the means to visit both the past and future.

Of the different techniques now being used, one in particular stands out as being, by far, the safest for human travelers.

Other than one government agency, which has been successful in time travel, the others are individuals whom you would probably call eccentrics.

The government agency, and the individuals who have successfully developed a means of time travel, prefer to keep themselves, and their work, secret.

However, we are now entering a period when time travel is scheduled to become a daily news item.

And it’s already begun, with new discoveries in earth and space science, announcements of new materials technology and news of research being done at the University of Connecticut.

Shortly, the names Ronald L. Mallett and Chandra Raychoudhuri will be well-known to everyone. Although they were not the first, they will be universally credited as the inventors of time travel.

Mallett’s research, using gamma and magnetic fields to warp time, will be officially noted as the first “break-through”, followed by Raychoudhuri’s more-important discovery of a new light source.

These discoveries will eventually lead to man’s being able to control gravity, and use it for applications far beyond anything imagined in science fiction.

But this phase of man’s ability to travel in time will dissolve into a divisive nightmare.

Following the discovery that several past catastrophes, including the so-called annihilation of the dinosaurs, were caused by time travel experiments, the issue of time travel will become so entangled in a web of ethics and moral controversy that no practical use will come of it this time.

The government will be forced to step in and take control of all materials possibly needed to construct time travel apparatus.

A great number of time-related discoveries are due to happen over the next couple of years. Most notable will be Clark Samson’s dis-proving the Grandfather Paradox.

Once these issues and conflicts subside, it will be over a decade more before man truly begins his walk through time. - Dean Terry
