Dean - I enjoyed your story about the Ghost Hound. It reminded me of a story my mother used to tell me when I was a child. Remembering it still sends shivers up my spine. - Katie M.

This is the story my mother used to tell...
In a small town in Georgia there was an old man who had no legs. The only way he could move around was by dragging himself around by his long, long, nails. He was also a killer. He would sneak around the town and kill people with his long, long, nails.
Because of this, the people were ordered to go inside at exactly 6:00 pm and lock their doors until he was caught.
One night a little girl asked her mom if she could go play at her friends house. The mother looked at the clock, it was 4:00pm. She told the little girl to be home by 5:45 because thats when “Click-Click” came out.
The little girl agreed and was on her way. She played and played but lost track of time because when she headed home, it was already 5:48.
By the time she was close to her home it was 6:00 pm. She saw that people were locking their doors and calling their kids to come inside.
“Shoot, I’d better run,” she thought. Finally she reached her street.
But that’s when she heard the noise… click click drag… click click drag.
It got louder and louder… click click drag… click click drag.
She turned around and there he was, Click-Click!
She ran to her front door… click click drag… click click drag.
She pounded frantically on the door but her mother had fallen asleep.
Click click drag… click click drag.
And then - suddenly - the pounding on the front door stopped.
Upon waking, and wondering why her daughter wasn’t home yet, the mother went to the front door and opened it ever so slowly.
She screamed in horror at the sight.
Written on the step in blood was, “Mother, why didn’t you open the door?”

Dave on Wednesday, July 02, 2008I was horrified by this story- A little girl with two legs was unable to outrun a person with none.
This story is a sad indictment on the fitness levels of young Americans today-A chilling tale indeed that heralds the oncoming of an era of obesity.... Horrifying…
Additionally I have concerns about what this story says about the availability of wheelchairs for the physically handicapped-A chilling indictment against society today. Images that will not lend themselves to a restful nights sleep!
Dean Terry on Wednesday, July 02, 2008Dave, glad you CLICKED to the story. I’ll bet you’re glad it didn’t DRAG on forever.
hwa_ki on Monday, July 07, 2008I have to say I enjoyed Dave’s comments even more than the story (haha). But Dean I have to say it was a good story.
sunshine on Tuesday, July 08, 2008yeah I am wondering why the little girl couldn’t outrun a man that has drag himself around to kill people. considering that, why wouldn’t the townspeople just catch him and cut his arms off since they can’t seem to catch him to put him in jail. he is probably killing the people because they won’t help him out with a wheelchair.
sylvia on Wednesday, July 09, 2008this is the DUMBEST story ever!!! I’ve heard better from a f***ing
